Winter season in Zanskar valley extends from September to March. As it is located at a very high

altitude, winters temperatures here reach their extreme levels. Lasting for almost half session of the

year, this season is reserved for adventurers. Temperatures in Zanskar may dip as low as -15 degrees to

chill you with frozen temperatures. Rivers freeze and develop a shiny ice sheet over their top surface.

temperature to vary anywhere between 10 to 25 degrees. Summers of Zanskar is well-known for their

monastery festival and sightseeing activities. Merrymaking, dance and music are activities that set
